Kirtan with Vasant Lad and Aditi Sethi

This will be a rare gift to experience Kirtan with Dr. Vasant Lad and Aditi Sethi together on one stage! Dr. Lad and Aditi will offer separate sets and will share a band comprised of Jahidi, Scott Sheerin, Jay Brown and special guests. This will be an ecstatic evening of call and response Sanskrit chanting that will inspire and uplift!

Dr. Vasant Lad is the founder of the Ayurvedic Institute and a world renowned educator, author, and Ayurvedic practitioner. He also is a scholar and master teacher of the Vedic sciences who has touched and transformed thousands of lives throughout the world. Few know that he is also a beautiful chanter, and for this event will be sharing his dynamic and blissful kirtan experience!

As a child under the guidance of her parents and grandparents from India, Aditi began offering devotional music from the Sikh and Hindu traditions to her community. More recently, she studied Indian devotional and classical music with her teacher, Krishna Kant Shukla, who lives in Varnasi, India. Aditi has offered kirtan to her local community in Asheville since 2008. This will be her third time at the Listening Room. The Mehfil Food Truck will be serving delicious vegetarian Indian meals prior to the concert and will arrive at the Listening Room to begin serving at 4:30PM.
